Established in Edinburgh in 1974, we began life as a small business carrying out works for local businesses and households. Our current client base still includes several of those original clients but also comprises larger businesses, public sector organizations, national and international companies.
In 2002, due to increased volume of work and a larger client base, we became a Limited Company. We have 3 Company Directors, who each have over twenty years service with Ritchie & Goodwin Ltd., and between them have over 80 years experience in the contracting industry.
Our operatives are all long term employees, who share our goal of providing a professional and reliable service with high quality workmanship. All electrical staff are kept up to date with the ever changing requirements of the IEE regulations with training courses, and they all possess current CSCS grade cards.
We guarantee a professional service by utilizing top quality tools, equipment and computer programs and we value our long standing relationships with both clients and suppliers very highly.

Our core business is the installation of BMS wiring installations for a variety of specialist companies throughout Scotland and North East England.
We have a dedicated team for carrying out small electrical works and testing & inspection contracts, which vary in size from HMO certificates to complete PIR reports for office blocks and hotels, general lighting and power contracts from small flat rewires to specialist installation i.e.; 'The Queens Graphic Art Gallery' at Holyrood Palace.
Industrial installations including new mains incomers and distribution systems, i.e. Oregon Timber, Selkirk.
